The Lanark Website

The Lanark Website was set up in 2012 as part of the Border Biscuits Community Support Fund with the goal of creating a one-stop resource for the town.

The vision for the website is to provide a platform which allows the local community to come together to share their stories about one of the most historic towns in Scotland and promote our Royal Burgh as a visitor destination.

Lanark Community Development Trust have recently taken over management of The Lanark Website with continued support from the Border Biscuits Community Support Fund.

We are eager to promote local groups and encourage people from all walks of life to help support the town.

The Lanark Website is your complete guide to life in the town with a great range of News and Views, a packed What’s On section, a comprehensive Things to Do guide, essential Directory and outstanding Historical Lanark portal.

Let the community know about your business or group,  add your own events and submit your business details to the directory for FREE.

You can also submit posters to be included in the large touchscreens which are located around the town in the High Street, Memorial Hall, Tolbooth and New Lanark Visitor Centre.

If you have a local news story you’d like to share, or a poster to add to the touch screens please email
