FlowerFest 2020 – stay tuned! (8th – 10th May 2020)
FlowerFest celebrates the horticultural heritage of the Clyde Valley. The valley, known for growing tomatoes until imports became cheaper, is now a destination for gardeners throughout the Central Belt, with its flourishing range of Garden Centres.
The Royal Burgh of Lanark lies at the head of the Garden Valley, and boasts Castlebank Park, perched above the River Clyde, with the restored Castlebank Gardens and newly developed Horticultural Centre, which is also home to Lanark in Bloom – custodians of the town’s many beautiful hanging baskets and planters.
The festival launched in May 2018, and ran successfully ‘bigger and better’ in May 2019. The festival will return from 8th – 10th May 2020 with the theme of VE DAY to link with the national 75th anniversary celebrations.
