The Development Trust is pleased to announce that they have secured the funding needed to commission and build the Clydesdale horse Sculpture. News today (10th of November) that the Trust would receive £3,000 from the Common good fund takes the overall funding over the £55,000 target. This has been made possible with grants from the Levenseat Trust, the William Syson Foundation, the Renewable Energy Fund, Community Council, South Lanarkshire Community Grant, and with the help of all those who supported our crowdfunding initiative. Chairman of the Trust, Sylvia Russell said “I am delighted to say that we have managed to get the funding together to be able to build this fantastic sculpture. We hope the sculpture will be in place next summer, and with the tour of the local school taking place prior to the installation of the sculpture. I would like to thank all those who have donated and to the partners who have kindly contributed to the project”.
The next stage of the project will be to commission Codstakes to build the sculpture. We will keep you updated with news and pictures of the build as it progresses. The board would also like to express their thanks for bringing this impressive sculpture one step closer.
