Pretty in pink – photograph submitted to the virtual flower show by Hejdi McLean

To help create a brighter world during COVID-19, Castlebank Horticultural Centre will be spreading cheer by creating a virtual spring flower show.

The finished project will be a community-created video showreel featuring photos of beautiful flowers, spring nature and greenery from the local area – or further afield!

The virtual flowershow film will be uploaded online, and DVD copies or digital files of the film will be sent to local carehomes & hospices to help brighten the days of the residents and patients.

Over 60 photos and drawings have been submitted so far, they can be viewed at this Facebook album.

To take part in the project, email your best spring flower/nature photos or artwork/drawings to info@lanarktrust.co.uk by Friday 8th May 2020.

Please include your name and the name of the flower (if known) and where it was taken. If a child (Under 16) is submitting a photo or artwork, please let us know their name and age.
