Castlebank Horticultural Centre

Last week, Stuart, our Educational Gardener, and Sylvia had a busy day in Stirling speaking at the Greenspace Scotland ‘Community urban greenspace workshop’. Telling the story of how the park has been regenerated, the Horticultural Centre’s creation and how we’re now hosting a busy programme of community learning activities, events and workshops

We were also busy in the park. Thanks to a donation from HRH Prince Charles following his visit last summer, the sundial lawn in Castlebank Park will soon feature a labyrinth. A labyrinth is a flat maze design of concentric circles, and ours will have the historic sundial at the centre. Stay tuned as the project progresses over the coming weeks!

We’re busy planning our 2020 programme of workshops, events and activities with booking now open for many of them –  click here to view the current list of What’s On.

Lanark Festivals

There’s now just three months to go until FlowerFest 2020! This year’s festival will take place from 8th – 10th May at Castlebank Park. Tickets are £3 per day or £5 for the weekend. The festival theme will be VE DAY’ to tie in with the national celebrations of VE Day’s 75th anniversary. Expect the same fantastic selection of garden centre pagodas, craft tent, kids rides, food & drink and daily entertainment. Stay tuned on the Facebook event page for more details as we get closer to the event.
