We’re delighted to welcome Stuart Ritchie, our new Educational Gardener at Castlebank Horticultural Centre! Stuart will be working with our volunteers and the local community to design and deliver a range of horticultural, educational and volunteering opportunities, events and activities to local people of all ages and backgrounds.

Stuart’s post is funded by The National Lottery Community Fund Scotland (formerly known as the Big Lottery). Sylvia Russell, Chair of Lanark Community Development Trust said: “We are absolutely delighted to have received a National Lottery award from the Big Lottery Fund. After years of determination and hard work to develop the Horticultural Centre at Castlebank Park, this award, coupled with the completion of the newly renovated Community Hub building, marks the final phase of the project’s completion. The next three years of the community gardening project will be a very exciting time at Castlebank Park, with lots of opportunities for local people to get involved. We’re very pleased to have Stuart on board!”
